There are many solidarity initiatives Covid19 consequences of these two months in which the pandemic violently and unexpectedly burst into our lives and changed, everything seems to indicate that forever, many of the things that surrounded us daily in what we called, a little unconsciously, normality.
To do something in this world you have to do what you can, what you must and what is convenient.
Rivarol’s

Signs that things were going to have to change – and, it must be said, they were already changing, although perhaps not at the required speed – have been there insistently throughout the first two decades of the 21st century: Environmental alterations caused by the overexploitation of natural resources and the destruction of natural spaces and species, with the increasingly frequent occurrence of natural catastrophes, temperature rises and disarrangements in the natural cycles of the seasons; globalization, which, with all the good it brings in terms of exchanges, new horizons and opportunities for all, also implies, in many cases, the loss of nuances, ideas and individualities, and Dostoyevsky already said that “small things are important, it is because of them that one always loses oneself”, as opposed to uniformity, single thinking, confrontation without debate and compliance with the discipline of the majority (which in general is usually a minority with majority resources); the new technologies that allow us to be more connected, more open to the world, but at the same time to lose our dependence and become much more programmable, even in our rebelliousness. Not to mention the emergence of new diseases that, to the extent that they were controlled geographically or by sectors, classes or social behaviors, seemed alien to us and frightened us like a “scary movie” that is soon forgotten.
They were partial, clamorous warnings to which we turned a deaf ear and in many cases far away, easily forgettable and which, except for the first moments, did not alter the substance of our daily lives.
The situation has changed suddenly with the appearance of a global pandemic (regardless of the fact that at first it seemed to be “Chinese stuff”), lethal (the number of deaths in our environment has been devastating), highly contagious (the speed of contagion seemed to make its consequences incalculable and only the “confinement” of a large part of humanity seemed able to slow it down), capable of saturating the health services that until now we believed to be prepared for any contingency, alerting us to the cuts suffered by our universal health care, although in reality health care was not as universal as it was proclaimed to be and in some countries did not even pretend to be, capable of hitting all social classes equally (regardless of whether some had more resources to protect themselves), age range (regardless of whether some age groups were less vulnerable) and behaviors, with no preventive measures other than extreme hygiene and total isolation.

We have been living in this situation for the last few weeks and, like any great crisis, it has shown the best and the worst in people. Especially in this case, and in the face of the accumulation of negative news, the best has come out in abundance. The general behavior has been exemplary and we have seen a tide of solidarity in all fields that deserves to be highlighted: Free concerts, food purchases for the most needy, donations for health equipment, tributes to those who have been on the front line of defense against the pandemic, facilities for working from home, freely available digital books and magazines, reinforcements in the quality of communication systems, help with shopping or looking for medicines, free digital content, humanitarian flights and all kinds of public, private, massive and individual initiatives that have allowed us to make these days of confinement, pain and worry more bearable.
Having completed this stage, we must reflect, if we have not already done so, on the consequences of the pandemic. We have certainly not yet lived through all the consequences of the pandemic, and that is why The most urgent thing now is to try to forget the confinement and focus on the future with new solidarity initiatives Covid19 and on business revitalization such as, for example, the See the light platform, developed and managed with the strong support (and initiative) of the Grupo Papelmatic por The Lighthouse TeamI am a member of this company, which is dedicated to integral consulting from the point of view of business development, legal strategy and global innovation, along with other great professionals and colleagues.
See The Light is a digital platform developed and managed thanks to the small contributions made by the companies that have wanted to be part of the project, which are different from the users for whom the registration has no cost and is born with a vocation of solidarity in a time of post corona allowing companies that have benefited in their business activity (personally it is difficult, if not impossible, to think of anyone who has benefited) and who want to give back in a disinterested way part of this benefit to society and other companies that have suffered serious damage in their activity, business plans and development of new initiatives resulting from the consequences of the pandemic.
The platform is a clear example of how necessary Covid19 solidarity initiatives are, as it aims to make resources of any kind available to companies that may temporarily need them, seeking to match offered capabilities with demanded needs. However, its vocation is to go beyond this, not only as a momentary help but also as a platform to facilitate new ideas, projects or lines of business that may benefit the companies involved in a second instance, allowing them, as they interrelate with each other, to generate trust, share knowledge and, if necessary, allow the development of new projects that will benefit both and, most probably, have a social impact.
Beyond public initiatives or those of large corporations (which are of course also invited to participate), See The Light aims, however modestly, to provide specific but very necessary solutions whose success will depend above all on the ability to energize the project and the willingness of users to openly present their capabilities and their needs to others. Initiatives like this are what are needed at this time and it is therefore a pleasure to see them being born and developed.
Let’s welcome See The Light and many other similar initiatives. Let’s hope that their example will encourage many not only to participate but also to start many other innovative and creative initiatives.
The situation is calling for solidarity initiatives Covid19 and now is the time to do it.
