Today it is time to talk about the H2020 Call. Proposals can be submitted until January 26, 2021 to the European Commission‘s EU Green Deal call, which will fund research and innovation projects that respond to the climate crisis and help conserve Europe’s biodiversity and ecosystems.

The H2020 call will have an overall budget of 1 billion euros and is structured in the following areas of action:
Eight Thematic Areas:
- Increasing climate ambition
- Clean, affordable and secure energy
- Industry for a clean and circular economy
- Energy and resource efficient buildings
- Sustainable and smart mobility
- Farm to fork
- Biodiversity and ecosystems
- Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments
Two Horizontal Areas: - Strengthening knowledge
- Empowering citizens
The contents of each area can be consulted in the EC information sheet.
This latest H2020 call differs from previous calls in that it aims to address major immediate challenges, seeking short- to medium-term results, but at the same time generating long-term structural benefits.
In this way, the above areas of action have been defined to demonstrate the viability of new technologies with potential for rapid scalability and market entry options.
In addition to the environmental and socioeconomic benefits, investment in innovative technologies that contribute to environmental sustainability will help accelerate the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, so that the deployment of the aid envisaged in the context of the European Green Deal has a direct impact on the strategic lines outlined in the Recovery Plan for Europe.
In the context of this plan, the “Recovery and Resilience Facility”, a new instrument that provides member states with financial support to increase public investments and reforms in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis, has been conceived.
If you have any questions about the grants mentioned above and, in particular, about the scope and requirements to participate in each of the topics raised in the context of the European Green Pact, please do not hesitate to contact us!
We have until January 26 to submit the application for the H2020 Call.
